Default Couple of Concerns about Account Security

I have a couple of concerns about account security.

1. The Log-in for the Xunlai Tournament House requires your real account name and it doesn't use https

2. You can reset a password on an account too easily, just go to a guildwars client click reset enter account name and click submit

Should these issues be addressed or are they not a threat....or any other areas of concern...the recent guild incident made me concerned

I use a PlayNC master account with a different password from my GW's account, and change my GW's password via it once a week. As for the Xunlai House, I use a different password for this also. One can't always rely on outside security...but there are steps like these that can help protect yourself.

Your account is secure unless you're an idiot who flaunts her information or downloads the wrong porn.

It's unlikely that your account information will be sniffed in transit, but paranoia is healthy. I am sure you are already weighing the costs of losing your account versus the profits from potential tournament reward points.

Unlikely, but possible. Though I would imagine if someone had the time and knowledge to do so, they wouldn't be wasting a lot of time gathering GW account information.

News to me. I'm fairly sure I didn't misread these when I registered:

For your security, please do not use your actual Guild Wars account password when registering for the Xunlai Tournament House.

These can be the same or different, but the verification e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address, not to your Guild Wars account address, so be sure this is an e-mail address you check regularly.

It sends the email to the email the account's set to use.

If the person attempting to use your account has access to said account's email, you've bigger problems.

edit: forgot a quote.
